Normaic Base

Normaic was a High Security Defense Base used by the Galactic Empire on Orupia, under the command of Lt. Colonel Aoin Saleem during the Galactic Civil War.

Shortly after the Battle of Yavin, Normaic Base then a simple Perimeter Base would undergo a mass development, re-structuring the complex to extend it's defence capabilities. Now utilised as a strategic point within the Empire's Perimeter Shield of the continent Cerafe on Orupia, it had extensive shielding capabilities and always housed a collection of AT-STs and E-Web Nests. The base was also used as a landing site for incoming Imperial Officials, as Palpatine's interest in the planet Orupia grew.

In the Battle of Orupia, 6 ABY, Rebel Forces focused their main attacks upon the ports of Laime and Sienaite trying to weaken Normaic Base with Stargazer's Commandos launching a surprise assault on the location, using T-47 Airspeeders and a single AT-XT and a ploy utilising Digital Radar Frequency Modifying. The Imperials stationed at the base were caught unexpected, and the assault was largely successful as Rebel Forces lead by Rhyley Stargazer and Sava Stary captured the base.

Lt Colonel Saleem fled the base near the end of the assault, heading towards the continent's capital, Pareen.
